ADVISORY COMMITTEE AND GOVERNING BODIES

For a successful organisation, the foundation and the backbone should be strong to develop and grow stronger, catering to all the social needs. Similarly, we have a team as our backbone which is a mixture of youth, experience and knowledge in various fields. An amalgamation of the three has provided as the concoction to this strength of the organisation which holds us firm and stronger, always impelling towards betterment and making a significant difference in the world, for a greater change.

Volunteering and Outreach

Prof. Anuradha Choudry – Humanities Department, IIT Kharagpur
She is presently a Faculty at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences in IIT Kharagpur; she teaches Sanskrit, Indian Psychology, and French, and is coordinating a course on the History of Science and Technology in Ancient India. A Fellow at the Development Foundation, Bangalore; co-authored a Book on 'Happiness - Indian Perspectives' also edited a book: Perspectives on Indian Perspectives. A Research Scholar with a social mind she believes in bringing about a lasting change.
Prof. Jenia Mukherjee -- Humanities Department, IIT Kharagpur
Prof. Mukherjee is a Social Scientist and a Faculty at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Dr. Mukherjee has also published a pioneering volume on Kolkata's ecological history - Blue Infrastructures: Natural History, Political Ecology, and Urban Development in Kolkata. Dr. Jenia Mukherjee received the prestigious Carson Writing Fellowship from the Rachel Carson Center for Environment and Society, Munich Germany to complete the book project. She guides and shares her views and ideas on the condition of the underprivileged and betterment of the same.

Project Management/Quality Control

Prof. Manikuntala Kundu – Biological Sciences, Bose Institute
Prof. Kundu is an emeritus scientist at CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) Department of Chemistry at Bose Institute. Manages and oversees affairs related to project development. She loves to interact with the children and work for the helpless people.
Prof. Joyoti Basu – Biochemistry and Cell Biology, Bose Institute
Prof. Basu is a scientist and has retired as a professor from the department of chemistry at Bose Institute. She is a recipient of the J.C. Bose National Fellowship in 2017. Along with Prof. Manikuntala Kundu she deals with the affairs concerning the development and also loves to visit the Projects and interact with the children.
Prof. S Vijaya – Microbiology and Cell Biology, IISc Bangalore
Retired Professor of Microbiology and Cell Biology Department at IISc Bangalore her research work includes understanding host-pathogen interactions and the molecular basis for pathogenesis of two human infectious agents Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Japanese Encephalitis Virus. Always with a mind to helping people she started her journey in this field and being a socially oriented person she wants to work for the betterment of the underprivileged and needy to make a difference in the world.

Public Relations

Prof. Anindita Bhadra – Biological Sciences, IISER Kolkata
Anindita Bhadra is an Associate Professor and Associate Dean of International Relations and Outreach at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Kolkata. She is a behavioural biologist, who joined IISER Kolkata in June 2009 and established the Dog Lab, working with free-ranging (stray) dogs in India. Dr. Bhadra was involved in the founding of INYAS, and was elected as the first Chairperson by the founding members in June 2015. She received the following awards: INSA Young Scientist award 2009, SERB Women Excellence award 2013 and IAP Young Scientist 2015. Apart from her engagement in research, teaching and science outreach, she is a thespian, being engaged with the theatre group mukhOsh. She has been contributing and working for social change by lending her helping hand to the helpless.
Prof. Ayan Banerjee – Physical Sciences, IISER Kolkata
Professor of Physics at IISER Kolkata , he is working in the field of optics and spectroscopy for the last 24 years. A scientist, but also involved in professional Bengali and English theatre. He has established a precision optics lab and has also set up a light-matter interaction research lab. Also involved in science translation into technology, one of the Founder Directors of the Research Innovation and Scientific Entrepreneurship (RISE) Foundation IISER; 40+ published papers in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and 19 patents. His social change making aims contributed in working for the helpless and needy to provide them a better livelihood.

Mentors

Prof. Shobha Madan – Mathematics and Statistics, IIT Kanpur
Prof. Shobha Madan is a distinguished visiting professor at IIT Goa. She has held positions at IIT Kanpur and IISER Mohali before this, having done her PhD at IIT Kanpur in 1980. She is a distinguished harmonic analyst who has inspired generations of students by her teaching and expertise. She guides and mentors on several project development and management related matters and plays a major role in bringing about a change.
Prof. Gadadhar Mishra – Mathemetics, IISc Bangalore
Prof. Gadadhar Misra is an Indian mathematician who specializes in operator theory. He taught at Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Kolkata and Bengaluru before joining the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru where he is currently engaged in teaching and research. He was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in 2001, the highest science award in India, in the mathematical sciences category. He was awarded the Biju Patnaik Award for Scientific Excellence by Odisha Bigyan Academy in 2013. He is an amazing person with a mind to work for the social cause and bring about a social change.

Technical

Siddhartha Mukherjee - Engineer, Kolkata
As a Web Developer, he deals with the technical affairs such as website designing and the likes. With his skills he tries to work as best as he can for the underprivileged sections of the society.
Prof. Arnab Bhattacharya – Computer Sciences, IIT Kanpur
Dr. Bhattacharya is an Associate Professor from the Department of Computer Sciences and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. Has received the following awards-- IBM Faculty Research Award, 2014, Award from Yahoo! Faculty Research and Engagement Program, 2011,Best paper award at the International Conference on Management of Data (COMAD),2010 and 2011, ICDM Student Travel Awards, 2005. As he wishes to do more for the country he contributes to the social uplifting and change.
Sukanta Mondal -- Web Developer, Kolkata
Like Mr. Mukherjee he deals with the technical affairs and helps with website designing and the likes. He also contributes to the betterment of the society by helping with his skills and specialization in his chosen area.

Legal and Financial

Adv. Navin Arora – CS; MCom; LLB, Mumbai
He handles and oversees the legal affairs regarding the projects and official or government related matters. His advocacy aids and assists in the amelioration of the underprivileged and in project advancement.
CA. Sudipta Lahiri -- CA, Kolkata
At the age of 60 he runs his own firm and being a Chartered Accountant he deals with the financial affairs. He makes sure that sufficient resource is generated for the smooth functioning of the projects. Apart from helping the needy, his hobbies include Photography, travelling, trekking, and reading.
Shuvro Poddar -- CS, Kolkata
Being a CS he also deals with the financial affairs and sees to the amelioration and efficient functioning of the system and projects. He has been contributing and helping with his expertise and working for the underprivileged sections for a long.

Administration and Execution

Sidhant Ghosh –MBA; B.Com; Secretary, R&R
Having completed his Masters he has chosen a different path altogether where his vision is to uplift the condition of the underprivileged, especially the conditions of women and children in the society. And with that vision and mission to help people he has started this journey and aims towards a greater and self-sustaining future of the beneficiaries and organization.
Srabani Mukherjee -- MA
Masters in Philosophy, with a social mind and aim to bring a difference in the world she deals with and oversees the financial and administrative affairs. With a same vision as Mr. Ghosh she gives her best in doing for the greater good.
Sumanta Singha Ray -- B-Tech
Having completed his B-tech degree, he chose to tread a different path and joined hands in helping the needy. He handles the administrative department, and puts his best efforts wherever and whenever required.
Md. Danish -- Sr. Manager, TCS
He manages and handles the administrative department as well and deals with Project related execution and implementation of certain matters. A person who wants to make a difference and do as much as he can for the needy, he puts his best effort.
